１月１９日の日経新聞夕刊で全国のペタンクが紹介された。JPBUヘッドコーチのコメントも掲載されており、VMSカップ決勝戦最終メーヌの様子や全国団体による初の世界選手権代表共同選考会の開催について全国に報じられた。

The January 19 evening edition of the Nikkei newspaper carried an article about nationwide petanque activities. In it, the head coach of the JPBU commented on the joint selection tournament for participation at the World Championships, and a vivid description of the last game at the VMS Cup's final match introduced petanque to a wide business audience.
