今度の世界選手権の決勝戦もそれぞれのチームのティールで決着した。ベルギー2は好い位置にブールを置いたが、フランス1のティルールと特にミリューのラクロワ選手はこの試合を通じてティールで優位に立った。

Once again the final match at the Petanque World Championship was decided on the skills of each team's shooting. Belgium 2 was placing good boules, but France 1's tireur and especially Lacroix at milieu took the upper-hand at shooting during the whole match.

Belgium 2 - Thailand (13-6), France 1 - France 2 (13-7)

フランス1とフランス2は準決勝で対戦することになったため、フランスが同時に１・２位になることはなくなった。準決勝のもう一方の対戦はベルギー２とタイである。

France 1 and France 2 have been drawn into the same half final match, thus there will be no 1st, 2nd place finish possible for France. The other match is Belgium 2 against Thailand.

Tir Final

タイのフサ・Ad選手（34点）はベニンのジェラール・アゴッサ選手（33点）に１点差でティール競技世界選手権に優勝した。アゴッサ選手はどの試合も点数は高くなかったが、最終試合の最終戦でタイの強豪ティルールをあと少しで食い止めるビュット・ティールを成功させるというすばらしい試合をした。フサ・Adの決勝・準決勝の34という得点は、今大会の彼の成績でも低いものだった。

Thailand's Phusa-Ad (34 points) wins the world champion title with scoring one point more than Benin's Gerard Agossa (33 points). Agossa scored lower in most ateliers, but then staged a great rally in the last atelier, shooting against the but, where he almost caught Thailand's sharp-shooter at the finish line. The 34 point for Phusa-Ad in the Final and Half-final were actually his lowest score at this championship.

Tir Repechage Second chance round - 1/4 Finals

ティール競技の2回戦(敗者復活戦)で、ベルギーのペタンクスター選手で世界記録保持者でもあるクラウディ・ウェイベルは52点を挙げた。しかし、準々決勝では、ウェイベル選手にとっては20点という低いスコアでカナダのトーマス・プロ選手に負けた。準決勝出場の選手の試合結果：フサ・Ad (タイ) vs. ジェラール・アゴッサ (ベニン)、トーマス・プロ (カナダ) vs. フランソワ・ンディアイエ(セネガル)

In the Shooting Competition's second chance round (Repechage), Claudy Weibel the Belgian player and former world record holder, secured his place for the final rounds with an excellent score of 52 points. In his quarter-final, however, he lost with a low 20 points against Thomas Pouplot from Canada. Half-Finalists: Phusa Ad (Thailand) vs. Gerard Agossa (Benin), Thomas Pouplot (Canada) vs. Francois N'Diaye (Senegal)

Tir Qualification Round

ティール競技の予選で、日本代表は2回戦進出には満たないが18点を挙げている。フランスはフィリップ・スュショーが決勝へも2回戦へも進めない結果になったことで衝撃を受けた。スュショーは25点を挙げている。ティール競技予選のトップ通過者は、りっぱな50点をマークしたタイのフサ・Ad選手だ。

In the qualifications round of the Shooting Competition the player representing Japan shoot 18 points thus failing to reach the second chance round. France faced a disappointment when Philippe Suchaud was not able to qualify for the final nor the second chance round. He shoot 25 points. The top-qualifiier is Thailand's Phusa-Ad with a very respectable high of 50 points.

Drawing of Groups

第41回ペタンク世界選手権2005ブリュッセルは、本日、開会式と予選抽選会でスタートした。日本チームはフランス１、オランダ、ベルギー２、ハンガリー、コート・ジボワールそしてノルウェーのいるグループCに入った。

41st Petanque World Championship 2005 Brussels has started today with the Opening Ceremony and drawing of the groups. The Japan team has been drawn into Groupe C, together with the teams of France 1, Netherlands, Belgium 2, Hungary, Cote d'Ivoire and Norway.
